Becoming a signatory...

The first and most important step is to carefully review the Charter Principles and establish that they do accurately reflect your own corporate values and current management practice. It may be that your organisational culture is not currently aligned with the Principles.  In this event you may view the Charter as aspirational and work towards meeting its standards before proceeding.

Once your organisation can confirm its alignment with the Principles, the application process is set out below.  An administration fee is payable on application based on the number of employees. The fee includes provision of the online Questionnaire service and e-learning suite for managers and entitlement to display the Charter Insignia for TWO YEARS. There is also a four-year option.

Charter signatory status is extendable in two-year periods upon submission of a renewed Declaration and Schedule (see 1) and payment of a renewal fee.

Declaration in support of the Charter

The Declaration is supported by a Schedule setting out:

(a) how your HR policies align with the Six Charter Principles 

(b) how your workforce is to be made aware of your support of the Charter
